End Suction Pumps
An end suction pump is a centrifugal pump that has a casing with suction going out one end and discharge coming out the other. These pumps are usually a single stage with only one impeller.
Fire Fighting Pumps
A fire pump is any type of purpose-driven pump used within a fire protection system. It can be driven by diesel engines, electric motors or even steam and is used to provide increases in water pressure to meet the design requirements of a fire protection system. Fire pumps do not create a water supply. Instead, they create pressure from an existing water supply, such as a city supply line or a storage tank, by converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy.
Multistage Jockey Pumps
A jockey pump, also know as a pressure maintenance pump, maintains the pressure to avoid non-emergency starting of the main pump. This keeps the main pump from short cycling, which shortens its life span.
Sewerage Submersible Pumps
Sewage pumps transport sewage and untreated waste water (e. g. raw waste water). They are most commonly used in municipal waste water treatment plants but also in buildings and private homes (also see Sewage lifting unit), which cannot be connected to the municipal sewer due to the natural slope of the terrain.
